Zapmap is a pioneer in the electric vehicle sector and the leading eMobility Service Provider in the UK, with hundreds of thousands of electric vehicle drivers using their app and digital services to find charging points and plan their journeys.
As a growing company with a great reputation, watertight cyber security is a priority for Zapmap: we worked with the team on several aspects of cyber security, from securing their devices and data to working towards their Cyber Essentials certification.

Implementing SSO (Single Sign-On)
We initially started working with Zapmap to assist with the implementation of SSO (Single Sign-On), integrating the services they used day-to-day with Google Workspace and ensuring that their devices were secure and compliant.
Hardware procurement and securing devices
From that initial project, our support for Zapmap has evolved into hardware procurement and asset registration through our monitoring software. Our monitoring software allows us to help businesses keep track of their devices, from where they are and who’s using them to any security issues and alerts when they need to be updated.
Data security tools
We also deployed additional security tools, such as ESET Endpoint Encryption, a useful data security tool that protects data on hard drives and offers full remote control of encryption keys. It can help organisations meet compliance requirements and keep their data and devices safe.
Cyber Essentials certification
Most recently we have been working alongside the internal Zapmap team towards achieving their Cyber Essentials certification. Our Account Manager Sam McCune and our technical team are working with Zapmap to introduce controls and mechanisms to ensure compliance and assist the business with taking the next step in their cyber security strategy.
