Cyber Security for Vision IFP
Vision IFP is a nationwide network of independent financial planners servicing high-net-worth clients across the UK. With advisers working remotely UK-wide, Vision relies on stable, secure and efficient systems to enable their financial planners to offer impeccable service to their clients, wherever they are.
We work with Vision on an ongoing basis, most recently on secure, scalable networking and server deployment, as well as cyber-security measures including ESET Managed Detection and Response.

High Availability
High Availability
High availability involves designing IT systems so they remain online even if a component fails. It uses techniques such as redundant servers, load balancing, and automatic failover to minimise downtime. For organisations like Vision IFP, high availability ensures advisers can access the applications and data they need without interruption.
- Servers: we deployed servers configured for high availability, ensuring critical applications continue running even if one host fails. Data is protected through local and off-site backups, and workloads are balanced across redundant hardware to minimise downtime. This design gives Vision’s advisers dependable access to client information and business tools whenever they need them.
- Networking: to support advisers working across the UK, Vision needed a network that is both robust and scalable. We recently sourced and installed Cisco Meraki networking equipment, delivering reliable connectivity, centralised management and advanced security features. This network provides fast, secure access to resources, and helps future-proof Vision’s systems so that they can grow as their business does.
- Phone Systems: reliable communications are vital for adviser-client relationships. We deployed a cloud-based phone system, giving Vision flexible call handling and a range of useful VoIP tools that allow their advisers to manage calls on the go. High availability across multiple data centres ensures calls stay connected even in the event of an outage.
Cyber Security
Safeguarding client data is critical for a business handling sensitive financial information. Our recent projects for Vision IFP focused on:
- Cyber Essentials accreditation, ensuring compliance with recognised UK security standards.
- Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM), enabling proactive oversight and rapid response to potential threats.
- ESET Managed Detection and Response (MDR), providing 24/7 threat hunting and incident response.
- Vulnerability scanning to identify and remediate risks before they can be exploited.
Together, these measures give Vision a layered defence against ransomware, phishing, and other cyber risks, while ensuring business continuity.
Business Email
We implemented and continue to manage Microsoft 365, giving Vision secure business email, calendaring, and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint. The platform also underpins compliance with data protection standards through integrated security and retention features.
