DM Orthotics contacted us for guidance and support with their systems as IT issues were impacting upon staff productivity, and they were looking for transparency of charges for support services and software licenses.
Taking the time to understand DM Orthotics and their business we conducted an extensive audit of all IT Systems. As part of the report we made recommendations to review and replace their existing servers, which were outdated and under-performing.
Consequently the internal virtualisation platform, hardware and software were updated. This provided them with a robust system improving performance, flexibility and reliability as well providing peace of mind for the future.
Following a review of the services needed and simplifying billing monthly IT costs were reduced across the board both for support services and licensing.
We also audited their network security using a sophisticated testing system that checks for vulnerabilities in firewalls and software, isolating any potential risks. As part of routine maintenance regular security audits are now undertaken to continually improve and monitor risks to systems.
Further work included upgrading and securing all internal systems including cloud file-sharing and email, and a zero-downtime migration to Microsoft Office 365.
